Located on the exclusive Amber Belair estate, a secluded peninsula directly west of the Calabash Hotel and Villas complex, Hummingbird is nestled on the water’s edge where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. The villa was designed by Vincenzo De Rosa and completed in 2005. A lot of the artwork and furniture have been commissioned specifically by the homeowners. It has a spacious kitchen, breakfast room, dining room, lounge and TV room.

The property includes a beautiful courtyard off which are some of the bedrooms and a cloakroom. On the east side of the property is the master bedroom, which also has an office area and there are two further bedrooms, laundry and maids room downstairs. The lounge and dining room open on to the covered patio, sunny pool deck infinity pool approx 20’ x 40', 4 ½’ to 5 ½’ deep, and poolside dining gazebo, an ideal spot for outside dining. Being up on the hill, Hummingbird catches a warm yet refreshing tropical breeze which rolls in off the ocean.

In addition to this beautiful villa and all its facilities, guests have access to the Calabash Hotel including the beach, sun loungers, non motorised watersports, tennis court, fitness room, large guest pool, snooker room, Jefferson’s Beach Restaurant, The Barnes Beach Bar and Rhodes Restaurant. Aromatherapy, reflexology, massage and beauty treatments are available by visiting therapists.

Also all guests at Hummingbird Villa are entitled to 10% discount on all Food and Beverage consumed at Calabash.

• Herra, the villa’s housekeeper and cook, is on hand to prepare breakfast daily (you buy the groceries)

Guest Book

Grenada is a great holiday location, it suited us really well. The lack of large scale corporate tourist brands creates a nice authentic feel. I grow up in Jamaica and have travelled lots of the Caribbean but have never spent much time in Grenada. So it was a real pleasure to spend time on a island that felt like Jamaica was and sadly is no more. We felt the kids were safe, the beaches were great and the calabash services combined with the villa was perfect. We will definitely bear grenadine escapes in mind for our next visit.
