Smartly nestled away in an unfrequented corner of Barbados’s south coast, this is a wonderful little retreat, away from the big resorts and touristy beaches. This family-owned boutique hotel has a fashionably relaxed ambiance, wonderful beach vistas and is only hotel located just steps from island’s landmark, the pristine secluded Miami Beach .

The ten unique rooms and suites are comfortably appointed with Italian fabrics and terrazzo flooring, with king-size beds and air conditioning as standard. Locally handcrafted pottery and artifacts set a whimsical yet sophisticated island mood. Ocean front suites feature private oversized whirlpool spas and terracotta terraces overlooking the beach.

Grenadine Escape Viewpoint

'Little Arches promises and delivers friendly pleasures, personal service and charming atmosphere. There's a bell for bar service and cocktails or meals can be served by the pool. The pool deck also has books to borrow, sunscreen, chess sets, cards, and hammocks for lazing (big enough for two.) Wrapped in this oasis of exceptionally good service and food (gourmet meals are served on the roof top terrace with punchy cocktails from the bar and wickedly delicious dessert.) I found myself not wanting to leave. The daily flux between the hotel and beach was enough for me though I would have loved a cruise up the coast if I had had one more day. But for those who like a little more action the hotel is merely a short stroll down a leafy lane to get to the village of Oistins for shops and banks and the traditional Friday night fish fry. Then nightlife hotspot of St.Lawrence Gap is just 4 miles away. This is a lovely quiet spot for golf lovers too; we were just 2 miles from the Barbados Golf Club. The golfers who miss Scotland in the summer and who might be afraid of the commercialism of Barbados will find a quiet base, wonderful views and impeccable service at Little Arches.

  Lara,
We had a ball and all went well. Thank you for your expert assistance. We loved Little Arches, Polo Matches, The Cliff restaurant, Oistens Fish Fry, Miami Beach and the people of Barbados. What a wonderful, safe place to vacation. Thanks again, we will probably be going back again next March.
