How do I make a reservation?
After initial email or telephone conversations we will talk/email with you to match a hotel, villa and or boat that would suit you best. We know all the accommodations, boats and crews very well, and can hold a villa or yacht without a commitment for a few days. To make a confirmation, a deposit of 50% of the total holiday cost is required (for villa rentals deposit payments are less) for which cheques are accepted. The balance can then be paid by bank payment transfer to Grenadine Escape account details of which are given on your emailed booking form and on your confirmation invoice. You have to fax or mail back copies of your signed booking form along with confirmation of when the deposit payment has been sent. On receipt of both the signed booking form and deposit payment your Booking Confirmation Invoice will be sent to you.

How is my holiday financially protected?
For air travel Grenadine Escape’s affiliate WEXAS TRAVELLERS CLUB only deals with ATOL protected tour operators. ATOL (Air Travel Organizers' Licence) is a tour operators' licensing scheme operated by the Civil Aviation Authority. ATOL protects your money against insolvency. If an ATOL tour operator stops trading, the CAA will refund your money. If you are on holiday it will allow you to complete your stay and travel home as planned. If you book just a charter flight, you'll be protected in the same way. You must purchase travel insurance, to protect you against unforeseen problems with a villa or yacht charter booking.

Can I Fly when Pregnant?
As a general rule, all Tour Operators advise that up to 28 weeks of pregnancy you can travel as long as you have checked with your GP. From 1 day over 28 weeks of pregnancy upon return and up to 32 weeks, you must obtain a doctors' certificate stating how many weeks pregnant you are and your due date. It must also state that you are fit to travel. You should take this certificate with you to the airport as you may be asked for it at check-in. You must also check with your travel insurance company that you are covered under your policy and make sure that you're due date and how many weeks pregnant you are is noted by the insurance company. Over 32 weeks of pregnancy you cannot travel with any airline. All airlines advise that you check with them directly before booking if over 28 weeks pregnant. If you or any of your party is pregnant, please check with your GP that it is all right to travel before making any booking.

What is the weather like in June (July, August, etc.)? When is hurricane season?
Most of the Caribbean is considered sub-tropical. It is nice all the time! (almost) Average temperatures are usually between 65 and 85 degress fahrenheit for most islands, for most of the year. Tourist "season" generally coincides with winter in the Northerm Hemisphere, from about November to April, but the Caribbean has become a year round vacation stop. The official hurricane season runs from August to November, but August storms are rare. The low season for tourism starts in May - the weather is gorgeous and the beaches emptier. June July and August are booked up and enjoyed by all and we have repeat clients for September and November so usually if the weather lets down it is only for a short while.

Can I connect to the internet in the Caribbean?
Yes, you can. You can get on-line with your wireless laptop in your hotel or villa and if you are in a villa/hotel without broadband there are wireless services in internet cafes even in the Grenadines. The larger yachts also have internet onboard.
